The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that the Moroccan national team won against its Senegalese counterpart with a score of 3 goals to 0, thus settling the controversy surrounding the final of the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
The Confederation of African Football's Appeals Committee confirmed on Tuesday, in a statement of which NajibPress received a copy, that the Senegalese Football Federation violated the applicable laws during this match. It explained that this decision came after accepting the appeal submitted by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation in form and substance, while canceling the Disciplinary Committee's decision, considering that the Senegalese team's behavior falls within the provisions of Articles 82 and 84 of the competition regulations.
The committee also acknowledged the validity of the reservation submitted by the university, which resulted in the confirmation of the legal result of the match with a clean sweep (3:0) in favor of Morocco, while rejecting the rest of the requests.
